Multicloud Deployment as a Part of a Disaster Recovery Plan

Multicloud Deployment

This is the fifth part in a series that I’ve been working on over the last year. If you’re curious to know what leads up to this final piece, check out parts 123 and 4!

After working through the foundational aspects of building out a disaster recovery plan, you should be well equipped to understand your organizational needs around the application and data availability in your environment. You need to be able to ensure your business is set up to remain accessible and available to your users. The ultimate goal is to achieve full organizational buy-in and ensure that all stakeholders understand your disaster recovery plan and your recovery objectives.

From there, we see most of our clients progressing towards developing a multicloud deployment strategy. It’s safe to say that a majority of companies have adopted the cloud in some fashion and now they are looking to take on a multicloud approach. What better way to ensure that you aren’t placing all your eggs in one basket? Just like if you keep your data on-premise and you’d have multiple copies in multiple locations (think 3-2-1 rule), leveraging a multicloud deployment strategy allows you to take advantage of flexible licensing options, ultimately allowing you to scale as your business grows.

Here at MicroAge, we are well equipped to assist with the ever-growing cloud landscape and all the new offerings that are hitting the market. We have the partnerships and expertise to help assist you in determining what’s available and the deployment model that best fits your needs. With so much to choose from when it comes to the cloud, I’d highly encourage you to just reach out and bounce some questions off of us. You might be surprised with some of the solutions you haven’t thought of before that can help with your DR and data availability strategy.
