As an HR Generalist you will:

  • Manage day-to-day administration of benefit programs, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, flexible spending, COBRA, and 401(k) plans. Monitors compliance with federal and state regulations governing benefits programs such as Section 125, FMLA, USERRA and ERISA.
    • Billing- calculates and reconciles monthly benefit plan invoices for payment
    • Health and Wellness filing 5500 & Summary Annual Report (SAR)
    • Annual Open Enrollment
    • Manage Health and Wellness initiatives
    • Participate in the negotiations and contracts with benefit plan providers and vendors
  • Manage payroll, ADP -HRIS proficient (Program & Upload forms, Build reports, Utilize and learn the full capabilities of the HRIS)
  • ADP- Timesheets, Assist in payroll processing, and back up, check vacation reports, monitor benefit feeds
  • Send timecard reminders and review timecards the night before payroll is run, email those with missing/incorrect hours
  • Approve tasks in ADP prior to payroll run
  • New Hire and Termination Paperwork, emails, and updates in ADP
  • PayScale- Build individual pay profiles for each job including up to date job duties and Pay ranges.
  • Garnishment- Laws, complete and return to the courts and be the primary contact
  • Welcome new hires on day 1, review paperwork and enter into ADP, E-verify, send welcome emails, send additional paperwork, track/check all paperwork is received, and complete
  • Tracking awards and gift cards for HR programs
  • Update/order employment law posters and minimum wage info at beginning of each year
  • Send Term Paperwork, Email DL-term, remove from ADP, follow up on equipment being returned, track severance, conduct exit interview and type up notes to review w/ HR team
  • Employment Verifications and reference letters
  • Assist with HR projects as needed
    • Manage FMLA/ADA Accommodations – handle the FMLA paperwork and correspondences
    • Share Point- keep HR page current and up to date.
    • Federal & State Law- Keep up on the changing laws in each states we are in.
    • Equipment Tracking (chairs, etc.)
    • Manage DocuSign
    • Update Handbook, stay in compliance
      • Draft new company policies and templates

What experience you need to be successful:

  • 5+ years of HR Generalist experience
  • 3 – 5+ years of payroll and benefits management experience
  • HR certification is a PLUS
  • Previous experience as a business partner and/or in a leadership role is a PLUS
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and practices
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experience in administration or human relations
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to maintain a high level of confidentiality
