MicroAge is seeking a detail-oriented Order Processing Specialist to provide support for our growing sales and operations groups.

Responsibilities you’ll have as a MicroAge Order Processing Specialist

  • Address user tasks in our Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central, ensuring operations notes are valid and completed before orders are released
  • Contact sales associates timely when questions arise and work with them to resolve those questions and correct any possible errors
  • Ensure the proper supplier is assigned when none is specified
  • Preauthorize credit card orders or send out Click-to-Pays when needed
  • Validate and approve client ship-to addresses
  • Confirm we receive the proper documents for lease orders, the orders reflect the correct bill to address, and taxes are assigned properly
  • Manually pull in orders from the procurement automation platform, ChannelOnline, when not processed automatically
  • Ensure order totals in Business Central align with ChannelOnline order totals before releasing orders
  • Work with our sales tax specialist to ensure tax group codes are assigned correctly, and any tax issues that arise are addressed timely
  • Ensure sales associates are following correct procedures when placing orders and educating them on best practices
  • Assist with client or supplier setup when necessary
  • Back up to the front desk: greet visitors, direct deliveries, etc.

What qualifications, skills, and experience you need to be successful:

  • 2 years of previous order processing, purchasing, invoicing, and/or accounts payable experience required
  • Excellent customer service and written/verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is required
  • Ability and desire to work in a team environment across organization functional boundaries is required
  • Experience in sales support, purchasing, invoicing, and order entry systems a plus
  • Proven ability to work independently, multi-task, and meet deadlines
  • Self-motivated, attention to detail, and ability to establish priorities
  • Experience in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central a plus
