Responsibilities you’ll have as a Services Engineer III – M365 (AVD)\Tenant to Tenant migrations\Microsoft Azure expert:

  • Lead and execute Microsoft 365 Tenant-to-Tenant Migrations
    • Single-event migrations
    • Phased migrations
    • Tenant move/split
  • Perform Exchange Online Migrations
    • Public Folder Migrations
    • Email Archive Migrations
    • Exchange 2013 – 2016 Hybrid Migrations
  • Perform Microsoft Azure AVD design and deployments
  • Demonstrate experience with Azure architecture, design, optimization, and consulting
  • Demonstrate experience with migration tools such as BitTitan MigrationWiz, AvePoint, Mover.io, etc., a plus
  • Manage the setup, implementation, and configuration of M365 projects, including Exchange On-Prem/Online, from the ground up
  • Effectively work with multiple external clients on various projects, systems, and demands
  • Provide guidance and direction to Service Engineer I and Service Engineer IIs
  • Be able to confidently influence the client and recommend alternative solutions in a professional manner
  • Enable clients to get the most out of their technology; help them work smarter, not harder
  • Execute PowerShell Scripting
  • Be efficient in Microsoft Entra ID and Microsoft Entra Connect
  • Be efficient in Active Directory Domain Services

The knowledge, skills, and abilities you need to be successful:

  • 3+ years’ experience working with Microsoft AVD, Exchange Hybrid environments and migrations, and M365 Tenant-to-Tenant migrations.
  • Experience with M365 cloud administration and optimization, as well as Microsoft Exchange administration.
  • Strong attention to detail, outstanding resourcefulness, flexibility, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
  • Ability to determine priorities effectively by managing multiple projects, clients, and escalations
  • Affinity for developing strong business relationships across multiple levels of an organization
  • Rely on strong problem-solving skills to understand and resolve both simple and complex technical issues
  • Follow company processes and standards to ensure efficient workflow and quality results

Technical qualifications required:

  • Proficiency in M365 Services such as:
    • M365 Apps
    • Exchange Online
    • SharePoint Online
    • OneDrive
    • MS Teams
    • Endpoint Management
    • Threat protection/Security
    • Identity/Access management
  • Proficiency in Exchange Server 2010/13/16/19 and related components
    • Exchange Hybrid configuration and support
    • Working knowledge of Exchange Server
    • Hands-on experience in email migrations to/from Microsoft 365, including hybrid scenarios
      • Exchange on-premise to M365 migrations
      • Google to M365 migrations
      • M365 Tenant to M365 Tenant Migrations
    • messaging systems (email, archival, spam, security, mail gateways, etc.)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft AVD:
    • Architecture
    • Design
    • Deployment
    • User Acceptance Testing and Troubleshooting
  • Working Knowledge of M365 Security and Compliance (Purview)
  • Deep understanding of Active Directory, Group policies, and DNS
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID Authentication, Identity and Access Management (IAM), and Conditional Access Policies
  • Experience with Microsoft Entra ID Connect and syncing objects from on-prem AD to Azure AD
  • Write and maintain custom scripts (PowerShell) to assist with migrations
  • Experience using an MDM is preferred
  • Solid foundation in server systems, virtualization, and networking
