Power BI/Automate Software Developer

Full-Time, Exempt

MicroAge is seeking a skilled and motivated PowerBI and Power Automate Software Developer to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining business intelligence and automation solutions using Microsoft PowerBI and Power Automate. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into effective and efficient technical solutions.

Responsibilities you’ll have as a Power BI/Automate Software Developer:

  • Design, develop, and deploy PowerBI reports and dashboards to provide actionable insights
  • Create and maintain Power Automate workflows to automate business processes and improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and ensure solutions meet their needs
  • Optimize and troubleshoot existing PowerBI reports and Power Automate workflows
  • Ensure data accuracy and integrity in all solutions
  • Stay up to date with the latest features and best practices in PowerBI and Power Automate
  • Provide training and support to end-users on PowerBI and Power Automate solutions

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful:

  • 3 – 5+ years of experience with other Microsoft Power Platform tools (Power Automate, Power BI, Power Apps, Power Virtual Agents)
  • 2+ years of experience using MS SQL Server and tools such as SQL Enterprise Manager, SQL Query Analyzer, and data mining
  • A high level of expertise in Power Automate development (HTML, javascript, JSON, etc.) required
  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data visualization, and DAX (Data Analysis Expressions)
  • Experience with Dynamics 365 Business Central, with an understanding of accounting and financial processes

Technical qualifications we prefer:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related work experience is preferred
  • Experience with 365 Dynamics CRM
  • Knowledge of Azure services and cloud computing
  • Familiarity with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik)
  • Experience with SSRS reporting, data warehouse reporting, and technical acumen is highly preferred
