From packed meals to handwritten notes, MicroAge associates embraced giving back in 2024—with heart, hustle, and purpose.

At MicroAge, giving back is woven into our culture. Through our ActTogether initiative, we empower associates to champion causes close to their hearts and contribute to the communities we serve. In 2024, our teams across the country showed up in force—packing meals, delivering school supplies, assembling pet kits, and cooking dinners for families in need. Here’s a look at some of the ways we turned compassion into action this year.

Feeding Hope, One Meal at a Time

In March, over 50 MicroAge associates and partners rolled up their sleeves at Feed My Starving Children in Arizona. With assembly lines set to music and an energy that filled the room, our team packed thousands of meals for children facing food insecurity across the globe. The event exemplified the spirit of MicroAge: when we come together, we can create real, tangible change—one meal at a time.

Paws, Purpose, and Partnership

Kitten Season came early at MicroAge! In May, more than 20 of our Arizona-based associates gathered at the Arizona Humane Society’s new Papago Park Campus in Phoenix for an Indoor Enrichment Event. Together, we assembled supply kits for foster families caring for vulnerable animals—ensuring they had the essentials like food, litter, and formula. It was a joyful, purpose-filled day that reminded us how small acts of kindness can make a big impact on our furry friends and their caregivers.

Backpacks, Notebooks, and Big Dreams

August marked the return of our Back-to-School Supplies Giveaway, where we distributed critical school supplies—including backpacks, notebooks, and calculators—to over 1,000 students in need. Every pencil sharpened, every backpack filled was a symbol of opportunity. This event reflects our enduring commitment to education and our belief that every child deserves the tools to succeed.

Delivering Comfort Through the Holidays

During the 2024 holiday season, MicroAge partnered once again with the Ronald McDonald House Charities to bring warmth and comfort to families facing pediatric medical challenges.

Nationwide Meals with Heart

From Arizona to Illinois to Texas, our associates, alongside our incredible partners at Sophos, prepared and served heartfelt meals for families staying at local Ronald McDonald Houses:

  • Arizona, Nov. 11: 26 MicroAge associates and 3 Sophos reps served a three-course meal to 25 families. The team also handcrafted 200 cards to accompany December’s gift deliveries.
  • Texas, Nov. 12: In Austin, 5 MicroAge associates and 1 Sophos rep packed 50 thoughtful lunches for children and their families across seven area hospitals—creating small moments of comfort during difficult hospital stays.
  • Illinois, Nov. 12: In Chicago, a MicroAge team recreated Arizona’s meatball menu, cooking for 25 families and celebrating a child’s birthday with a surprise dessert, reminding us how food and care can go hand in hand.

Gift Bags, Big Smiles

On December 13, MicroAge rallied a team of associates to assemble and deliver over 250 holiday gift bags to children staying at the Phoenix Ronald McDonald House. Filled with cozy items, toys, and heartfelt notes, each bag delivered more than just gifts—it brought joy, relief, and a sense of normalcy during a challenging time.

Looking Ahead: Delivering So Much More than IT Services

Our mission at MicroAge extends beyond delivering best-in-class IT services—it includes building stronger communities and lifting others up. Every volunteer hour, every meal served, and every dollar donated in 2024 reflected our team’s shared commitment to doing good and making a difference.

As we look ahead to 2025, we’re energized to continue this legacy of giving. Because at MicroAge, service is more than something we do—it’s who we are.
