Services Engineer II—Azure

Remote, work from home

Arizona or West Coast preferred

Full-Time, on-call rotation schedule

Ability to work nights and weekends, less than 25%

Responsibilities you’ll have as a Services Engineer II—Azure Core Services/Azure Open AI:

  • Support multi-region and multi-cloud infrastructure
  • Support Microsoft marketplace and/or subscription services
  • Support Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or Bicep
  • Support monitoring setup, configuration, and alerts (Azure Monitor, DataDog, etc)
  • Develop and maintain cloud-based documentation, including architecture diagrams
  • General understanding of Microsoft cloud architecture and design concepts. (CAF/WAF)
  • Expertise in networking and internet protocols, including TCP/IP, DNS, SMTP, HTTP, and distributed networks in the cloud
  • Ability to debug, troubleshoot, and resolve new and complex technical issues
  • Azure AD, Lighthouse and other identity and access management services
  • Understand Cloud systems engineering
  • Understand Cloud networking concepts and services
  • Have knowledge of security best practices and experience implementing security controls in cloud environments
  • Support Cloud-native backup and patching automation
  • Manage virtual servers, including vulnerability management
  • Any other related duties as deemed necessary by management

Work experience requirements:

  • 3+ years’ experience in Azure core services
  • 1 year experience with Azure open IA
  • 1+ year of MSP, or similar client-facing industry, experience is highly preferred
  • Strong attention to detail, outstanding resourcefulness, flexibility, and the ability to work independently as well as within a team setting
  • Ability to determine priorities effectively by managing multiple tickets, projects, and clients
  • Affinity for developing strong business relationships across multiple levels of an organization
  • Rely on strong problem-solving skills to understand and resolve both simple and complex technical issues
  • Follow company processes and standards to ensure efficient workflow and quality results

Must-have technical qualifications:

  • Azure Core Services
  • ConnectWise experience preferred
