Services Engineer III—Network

Arizona – Hybrid

Responsibilities you’ll have as a Service Engineer III Network:

  • Lead professional services network projects
  • Effectively work with multiple external clients on projects and systems with various demands and requirements
  • Drive open tickets and projects to closure, meeting SLAs and client expectations
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of documentation relating to client environments
  • Handle escalations from and provide guidance to the MSP team and other engineers as needed
  • Potential to perform on-call support duties on a rotating basis as needed

The knowledge, skills, and abilities you need to be successful:

  • 5+ years required experience with network router/switch/firewall setup, cloud and virtualization networking, and firewall implementation, configuration, and support
  • Current manufacturer-specific certifications for required networking skill areas listed below (preferred but not required)
  • Previous network consulting experience is a plus
  • The ability to adapt and learn quickly
  • Possess the ability and desire to develop relationships with clients and internal staff
  • Follow the process and identify possible improvements
  • Ensure proper time management skills
  • Have exceptional written and verbal communication skills

Technical qualifications required:

Experience troubleshooting and configuring firewalls, routers, switches and wireless:

Required

  • Cisco (R&S, ASA/FTD, ISE, Wireless)
  • Fortinet Experience (FortiGate, FortiManager, FortiAnalyzer, FortiClient, SD-WAN)
  • Cloud Networking (Azure)
  • Arista

Preferred

  • Juniper
  • Aruba
  • F5
  • SonicWALL
  • Ruckus
  • Ubiquiti
  • HP
  • Palo Alto NGFW (Panorama, Prism, SD-WAN)

Knowledge and experience with advanced networking principles:

  • Enterprise Network Architecture and Design
  • Route/Switch Design and Theory
  • Azure Cloud Network Design and Theory
  • Enterprise Security and Firewall Architecture and Design

Additional Skills:

  • Ability to create and read network diagrams and other knowledge-base documentation
  • Advanced troubleshooting skills with hardware and networking
  • Technical and As-Built Documentation
