Senior Accountant

Responsibilities you’ll have as a Senior Accountant:

  • Account Reconciliation: Reconcile various accounts, such as bank statements, merchant accounts, purchasing cards, sales tax payable, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
  • Month-End and Year-End Close: Assist in the month-end and year-end closing processes, including closing periods in the ERP System, preparation of audit schedules, journal entries, fixed asset accounting and reporting, accruals, principal vs agent revenue recognition, and account reconciliations.
  • Financial Reporting: Assist in preparing internal financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and various supporting Excel spreadsheets.
  • Compliance and Auditing: Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations. Assist with external audits.
  • Accounts Receivable: Accounts Receivable cash application, including ACH  and lockbox deposits. Process credit card payments.  Deposit physically received checks; prepare daily cash reports; backup for daily cash reconciliation, as needed.  Process monthly A/R write-offs; process vendor referral fees.  Monitor A/R aging for aged receivables.
  • Other: Other tasks, as directed

Required qualifications:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Accounting.
  • Experience: 3+ years of accounting experience.
  • Skills: Proficiency in accounting software (Dynamics 365 Business Central preferred) and Microsoft Excel, experience with ASC 606, strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication skills.
