MicroAge was selected by Northrop Grumman as a 2019 World Class Team supplier. Each year, the award recognizes suppliers for their excellence—ranking technical aptitude and performance, service support, service and product quality and cost competitiveness. The award is part of Northrop Grumman’s award-winning diversity initiative, driving subcontracting for growing businesses.
The global aerospace and defense technology company is passionate about supporting small businesses. Patricia McMahon, Northrop Grumman’s corporate supply chain vice president shared how they play a big role in meeting customer needs and empowering innovation:
“These awardees demonstrated superior business support and outstanding contributions to our small disadvantaged business, women-owned small business and service-disabled veterans’ objectives and top performance goals,” McMahon said. “They have a large part in our relationships with the mentor-protégé programs, Historically Black Colleges/Universities and AbilityOne program initiatives. “
Northrop Grumman’s Commitment to Diversity
Last year, Northrop Grumman contracted more than $8 billion to its diverse supplier base, accounting for more than 37% of the company’s procurement spending. And the business boasts 13 consecutive years in meeting and exceeding the 23% small business statutory goals.
