Job Summary:

This job contributes to the success of MicroAge. The Director of Solutions Architects manages a highly qualified, geographically distributed Solution Architects team, ensuring that the Solution Architects work cohesively with the Account Managers to determine clients’ needs and meet company sales objectives.

Responsibilities you’ll have as the Director of Solutions Architects:

  • Ensure Solution Architects have received adequate training to be able to perform their jobs at a high level
  • Coach and motivate employees so that they achieve their goals and objectives.
  • Prioritize, delegate, and assign duties to direct reports to ensure client needs are met and so that Account Managers have the technical resources they need to drive sales opportunities that meet the company’s objectives.
  • Review completed proposals for technical integrity, quantification of risk, and strategic direction prior to presentation to the client
  • Provide feedback and management reports as requested to analyze and improve the business
  • Ensure that the client experience is positive with all interactions with Solution Architects
  • Assist Regional Sales Managers in ensuring that Solution Architects and Account Managers work as a cohesive team
  • Assist in creating training playbooks for both Solution Architects and Account Managers
  • Assist Account Managers and Regional Sales Managers in the sales offerings
  • Ensure we maintain technical competencies to maintain partner relationships and to support company direction in sales
  • Participate in leadership meetings to assist in setting company direction and to ensure the company achieves its objectives

The knowledge, skills, and abilities required to be successful:

  • Experience and technical knowledge of Data Center
  • Understands the technical facets of scoping, designing, and proposing solutions and understands the process of selling B2B services and solutions
  • At least three (3) years of experience in the Data Center
  • At least three (3) years of experience selling or consulting in technical B2B services and solutions
  • Security or Cloud industry experience a plus
