About MicroAge

MicroAge is seeking a detail-oriented associate to provide support for our growing sales force. The Sales Assistant is responsible for handling all aspects of the sales process from placing orders, providing quotes, answering client calls, tracking orders, Accounts Receivable, and handling returns. The ideal candidate must have strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multi-task.

As a Sales Assistant you will:

  • Answer client phone calls
  • Place orders
  • Create quotes
  • Follow up and track orders
  • Register deals
  • Initiate Technical Support requests
  • Process RMA
  • Secure price quotes and freight estimates with distribution
  • Find product documentation and provide product comparisons to clients
  • Find alternative sources for hard-to-stock product
  • Manage open order report weekly
  • Provide AR Aging reports weekly
  • Provide purchase reports upon request

What experience you need to be successful:

  • 3+ years of office assistant/administrative experience, relevant industry experience is a plus
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail with the ability to multitask
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, and the desire to work in a team environment across organization functional boundaries
  • Ability to work with or without direction
  • Computer proficiency (typing, emailing, web browsing, Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel), multi-tasking skills, organizational, time/decision management skills
  • Honesty, trustworthiness, dependable, ability to maintain sensitive data in a confidential manner
  • Dedication and focus, strong work ethic
  • Positive, optimistic, can-do attitude
